Beginning February 4, 2013 appointment reminders will be delivered to you by your preferred choice of communication (voice, text, e-mail). These appointment reminders are a courtesy to remind you of upcoming well exams, sports physicals, medication check-ups, and new patient appointments. In the past, you received a call one working day prior to the appointment, now you will receive a message 2-3 days prior giving you adequate time to call and reschedule if necessary. Please make sure we have your updated contact information and your preferred choice of communication. Thank you.

In mid June, Ann Sheehan DNP, CPNP and Kim Fenbert DNP, CPNP will be leaving Shoreline Pediatrics. They are moving on to teach at the Kirkhof College of Nursing at Grand Valley State University. Dr. Fenbert will become an Affiliate Professor at GVSU and Dr. Sheehan will become the Assistant Dean for Practice. Both will also be providing patient care in the GVSU Family Health Center at 72 Sheldon Blvd SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49503. If you need to reach either of the Nurse Practitioners; they can be reached at 616-988-8774. While we are saddened with Ann and Kim’s departures, we are excited that they are moving on to the next stage of their careers.
What does this means for your children?
If you are normally a patient of either of the CPNPs, you should have received a letter explaining this if we had a current address. The other providers at Shoreline Pediatrics will continue to care for your children. Your children are considered patients of Shoreline Pediatrics and care will be provided as it always has been. In several months, Dr. Jennifer King will be joining Shoreline Pediatrics and will be happy to assume the care of your child if you wish. Just let us know your desires.

Summer Physical Time is HERE
Every August we get "emergency" calls for school physicals. Do not be "THAT" parent. Many insurance plans pay for a physical exam every calender year and it does not have to be a full year. If your insurance is one of them, let us get this out of the way at a time that is good for you this spring or at latest early summer. If you're unsure, call us and we will get the skinny for you.
